Kendall Jenner Has This In Common With Her Dad, Caitlyn Jenner

Kendall Jenner has a surprising talent in common with her dad Caitlyn Jenner.

The Kar-Jenner family is known for a lot of things. Namely, their fashion sense, and their propensity for throwing cash around like it’s nothing.

But Kendall has something else in common with her dad, Caitlyn Jenner, and it’s sort of a family tradition. Though it’s probably too soon to know whether Stormi (or even her mom) inherited the same genes, Kendall and Caitlyn are two peas in a pod.

Kendall is one of the most successful models, as evidenced by her Instagram following, of course. But she’s also more athletic than fans may have given her credit for.

Back in a 2014 interview, notes Dail Mail, Kendall explained that her former Olympic champion dad was her high school high jump coach. The elder Jenner made some high jump records in a 1976 decathlon, of course.

But Kendall was the top high jump champion at her school, making waves in her own way. And dad Caitlyn was there to cheer her on, help with the “technical stuff,” and coach other kids, too. Yep, it wasn’t a one-gal team; Kendall’s school clearly had other athletes who got the Olympic touch from the eldest Jenner.

The school that Kendall attended, according to multiple online sources, was Sierra Canyon School, a private institution that cost her parents a pretty penny for her to attend. Sierra Canyon’s tuition, according to their website, is around $39,000 for a high schooler.

That is, they did pay for at least a couple of years, before Kendall turned to homeschool. The teen made the move so that she could juggle her growing modeling career while finishing her high school diploma.

And it turned out to be a good decision, since modeling is far more lucrative (not to mention safer) than becoming an Olympic athlete. After all, as Jenner once said after her career-finishing move, you have the rest of your life to recover after putting your all into an event.

As far as Kendall’s future, there’s some argument over whether she or her pal Gigi Hadid makes more modeling, but it’s sort of a moot point. They’re both fabulous, and they clearly have futures on the runway.

Though Kendall doesn’t seem to be doing many high jumps these days, she does stay busy working it on the runway, in ad campaigns, and even on the literal runway (AKA disembarking from her private jet).

Plus, the family still has Caitlyn’s successes to revel in today; the sports world still remembers the epic career-ending race that Jenner won and made world records in. Now, they’ll just have to wait and see whether the next generation of Jenners inherited any of Caitlyn’s athletic prowess.
