Priyanka Chopra removed "Jonas" a month ago from her social media sparking rumors of a split with Nick Jonas. Now the actress is revealing the truth.
After months of speculation, Priyanka Chopra has finally revealed the real reason she chose to strip the Jonas name from her profile on Instagram. Fans had been speculating ever since the Matrix Resurrections star removed the surname of her husband, Nick Jonas, from her page without giving any explanation.
Fans Were Worried That Chopra Had Split With Nick.
The removal of his name signaled fans that there might be trouble in their marriage, or that they had even broken up. The 39-year-old added “Jonas” to her name on Instagram and Twitter following her marriage to Nick back in 2018.
The actress poured cold water onto the rumors that she and Nick had broken up by liking a video of her husband exercising. She then left a thirsty comment on the video as well: “Damn! I just died in your arms… 😍 🥵 ❤️”
Chopra’s mother, Madhu, also denied the speculation that her daughter had split from Jonas, reportedly telling News18: “It’s all rubbish, don’t spread rumors.”
Now finally the actress has addressed the change.

During an interview with The Times of India, a reporter asked the star for the reason behind the move, to which Chopra responded: “I don’t know! I wanted the username to match my Twitter, I guess.”
“I just find it really amusing that everything becomes such a huge deal to people!” she followed up. “It’s social media, guys. Just chill out!”
Chopra appeared on the inStyle podcast Ladies First with Laura Brown to discuss her marriage with Nick. On the podcast, she revealed to Brown that the success of her marriage was due to her frequent communication with her husband.
“We prioritize each other in everything that we do,” she said. “We talk all the time,” the actress said. “We know each other’s hearts and we prioritize each other in everything that we do.”
To be fair, rumors of a split were always baseless. The couple had shown no signs that their marriage was in trouble. Just last month Chopra shared a snap of the couple’s first Diwali on Instagram with the caption: “the best husband and partner @nickjonas, you are what dreams are made of. I love you. My heart is so grateful and full.”
Chopra is famous for her roles in the ABC series Quantico and Netflix film The White Tiger and is also starring in The Matrix Resurrections as Sati, which opened on December 16th.
