The Civic Republic Military has been at the center of many of the mysteries across The Walking Dead franchise and is even set to lead directly into the upcoming Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) movies. The group has shown they are willing to go to extreme lengths to ensure humanity’s future and find a cure for the zombie virus. The season 1 finale of World Beyond revealed the truth behind some of the organization’s motives but also left unanswered questions.

With only ten episodes in the second season, The Walking Dead: World Beyond has many loose ends to tie up. However, with a number of Walking Dead spin-off shows on the way, there is plenty of room left to explore and expand on the history and world of the franchise. It will be interesting to see what happens next with the group split up and Iris and Silas captured by the Civic Republic Military.
